Executive Director's Report

Greetings from Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck!

We are quickly approaching the summer season, which is the reason for our existence at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck!

We have ten sessions this summer. Several members of our team have already arrived from overseas and have been very helpful in assisting us with the physical labor associated with grooming the camp for the summer. Having their help has been a blessing inasmuch as we had a number of volunteer groups which had to cancel their projects with us over the last month, due to inclement weather.

The rain will not delay our laundry process this summer with roof leaks, thanks to the great work of the Bellport Rotary Club! This group received a grant to cover the cost of re-roofing the “Laundry Barn,” as it has come to be called, perhaps to some, better known as Building #9. It is now neat, clean and leak-free! Please know that this project was done so swiftly, we hardly knew it had happened. Thank you, Bellport Rotary!

Some groups, like the Providence College Alumni Association and the Riverhead and Deer Park staff of Timberland Stores, were unfortunately thwarted by the rainy weather. They have, however, offered to give us a hand either preparing for or assisting with cleanup duties at the Annual Duck BBQ. This is critical for us this year as the BBQ is now in the middle of July, and the setup and cleanup must be accomplished in a very narrow timeframe. | Read More
