Executive Director's Report

You may not be able to tell by looking out the window, and you may laugh at this as you are digging yourself out of a mountain of snow but we are a little more than a month away from spring! As I write this, we are anticipating another several inches of snow!

On January 30, I was asked to represent the camp on Bonnie Grice’s show “The Eclectic Café,” which can be heard on WPPB Radio (88.3 FM) in Southampton. I spoke about the camp and the new summer season that is quickly approaching. Thank you, Bonnie, for having me on your show! It was fun and it was evident that you did some research on the Camp beforehand. Our conversation flowed and you highlighted the most important aspects of our fundraising campaigns!

This year, we want to reach out to more potential campers than ever before. The benefit for the camp will be that we have enough enrollments to financially support the summer program and the benefit to our campers is that they have the summer of a lifetime!

So, if you know of a family who would benefit from this camp experience, please tell them about us. If you know of another philanthropic organization, other than our great supporters, Rotarians, who might sponsor a child, please send them our way. And finally, if you are a creative thinker and have fundraising ideas, we are open to those as well!

If you want to see for yourself what we are all about, please come meet us at one of our Open Houses: Feb.17, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; March 24, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.; April 28, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.; and finally, May 17, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Come meet our core staff, take a tour and have some light refreshments.

Take care and stay warm!
