Frequently Asked Questions

How many campers do you take per session? 
We take up to 50 campers each session.

Can campers come just for the day? 
Yes, we do accept campers just for the day. 

Do we provide transportation? 
No, we do not provide transportation.

Is there a nurse on duty during camp? 
Yes, the nurse lives on the campgrounds while camp is in session, and she is available everyday, 24 hours a day.

What is the ratio of campers to counselors? 
The ratio is 2:1 (two campers assigned to a counselor.)

What are some of the daily activities? 
The activities include swimming, hiking, boating, arts and crafts, music, sports, races, dances, BBQ’s, talent shows, campfires, and sing-a-longs.

Do we provide scholarships?
Scholarships are given out based on individual need and review of family’s finances. 

Where do our counselors come from? 
Most of our counselors come from overseas.  We hire through organizations such as Camp America and YMCA International.

Are background checks done?
Yes, background checks are done on all of our employees.

Can I bring certain foods for my child? 
Yes, if your child eats certain foods that we may not have, you can bring them.  If your child is on a special diet, you may also discuss this with the nurse.
