About our counselors:

Our summer counselors come from overseas. We currently use two organizations, Camp America and the YMCA, who do the recruiting and thorough background screening of staff. Ages range from 18 and up. Most of these dedicated individuals may be studying to be physical therapists, social workers, and medical area pursuits such as nursing or doctors. Some have siblings or other relatives who have physical or developmental disabilities. Just about all have a background exposure in working with a disability. It takes a very special commitment since counselors are on duty 24 hours a day for the entire time while campers are here.

A percentage of our staff return for several summers making our base strong. One of our dorm directors is coming back for his fourth season.
