Alyssa Pecorino

Originally hailing from the west end of Long Island, Alyssa has spent the last 20 years in the camping industry in almost every conceivable position, in addition to being a camper at various camps in NY and CT. She has an undergraduate degree in American Studies from the University of Mary Washington, a master’s degree in Special Education from Hofstra University and master’s degree in Camp Administration and Leadership from Touro University. She has worked at various special education schools as a teacher and as an administrator. In addition, she has been an adjunct professor at various colleges and universities and has spoken at numerous conferences on special education.
She brings a love of all things camp, including a camp dog! She accepted the 2019 National Elenor P. Eells Award for Program Excellence at the National American Camping Association conference.
Since 2019, Alyssa has brought her expertise to Camp Pa-qua-tuck. She’s embracing the magic of this special place and continues to enhance the wonders camp brings to children and adults of all ages.
