Just like you…

Whatever you want to call these times, one thing that is apparent for all of us is that we are in this together, we are an amazing community.

Just like you, someone is alone in their home with no family and hoping we get to be with them again soon.

Just like you, your patience is being tested with your children and loved ones.

Just like you, we feel scared when we go out food shopping and have to wear a mask.

Just like you, we struggle to explain what’s going on and to digest for ourselves what to do and how to think.

Just like you, we are still working.

Just like you, we are reaching out to new support groups.

Just like you, we have lost our jobs.

Just like you, we are eternally grateful to all of our warriors out there on the front lines.

Just like you, we wonder how to show our appreciation to all of the amazing people out there who suddenly became our heroes.

Just like you, we wonder when this is going to be lifted and what it’s going to look like.

Just like you, we worry about our finances and if camp is going to happen this summer.

Just like you, we are losing friends, co-workers and people we know to this virus and are worrying about others who have it or don’t.

Just like you, we want to be optimistic and get through this.

Just like you, we feel like we’re going to break and don’t know how much more we can take.

Just like you, we are adjusting our sails on a daily basis to navigate these changes.

Just like you, we are learning so much and cherishing things we haven’t before.

Just like you, we are wondering how people are getting through this.

Just like you, we are trying to find ways to smile and laugh.

Just like you, we worry about how to take care of ourselves so we can help others.

Just like you, we realize just how resilient we are.

Just like you, we look to all the helpers out there to shine a light for us.

Just like you, we want to make sure we are all ok and take care of each other.

Just like you, we know that no one has the answers and we’re just trying our best.

Just like you, we want camp to happen this summer if we can safely do so.

Just like you, we want to hear from you and know what we can do to help.

Reach out to each other.  Reach out to us.  We are all just like you.
